Greg McGee Typically this is due to the installed image lacking the firmware the kernel driver loads. Boot ~any Linux distro from LiveCD/DVD/USB etc and it will probably have it in /lib/firmware, copy the one it loads when it works.

Disstro won't matter much, mine came from a 64 bit Mageaia install on the same harddrive.
