The following versions of Ghost are compatible with Windows XP: • Symantec Ghost 8.x • Symantec Ghost 7.5 • Norton Ghost 2003 • Norton Ghost 2002 Note: Symantec does not provide technical support for older Ghost versions used with Windows XP. Windows XP Product Activation Windows XP includes a Product Activation, a licensing feature that may affect cloning. For information on Product Activation, see one of the following Web pages on the Microsoft Web site: For information on how Product Activation affects cloning on a larger scale, see the Microsoft document.
Remote Client Install The Remote Client Install feature of Symantec Ghost 7.5 and 8.x allows you to remotely install the Ghost Client to client computers from the Ghost Console. In order to do this in Ghost 7.5, the client Windows XP computers must be members of a domain. However, since Windows XP Home Edition does not allow clients to join a domain, this feature does not work on client computers that run Windows XP Home Edition.
The Ghost 8.x Console allows you to remotely add computer to a workgroup and therefore is able to perform Remote Client Installs on Windows XP Home Edition computers as well. For more information see page 44 of the Implementation Guide.
Wow this looks neat.i will definitely fire it up next time i brick my epic! Download one click unbrick for samsung phones. Great job AdamOutler! Edit: tested and it did kick my epic out of download mode in windows if the command above gives you issues on windows 7 then do the following: click the start button goto programs>accessories> right click on 'command prompt' and select run as administrator cd to your download folder (ie: cd c: downloads oneclick ) then type 'java -jar OneClick.jar' you should only have to do all of that the first time so drivers for heimdall can be installed correctly AdamOutler is working a better solution for the windows crowd. Please give feedback.
