GTA V version? Latest Up to date? Yes Legit or Pirate copy? Legit Steam/CD/Social Club? Social Club Windows version? 10 Everytime i start the.
I just installed GTA V today, only to discover that Rockstar seems to have absolutely no support for switchable graphics (as evidenced by the tons of other issues I found while trying to solve mine) which is really disappointing. The text for the error is: 'No DirectX 10 or 11 adapter or runtime found.' I have an Nvidia 660m, which is currently running DirectX 11 according to dxdiag. I really have no idea what to do at this point. Has anyone else seen/fixed this? I was going to ask on Rockstar forums, but it turns out that you can't post there if your account is less than a month old.
Strange way to treat new customers with issues. Why am I finding loads of forums with peeps looking for an answer to this; but no (or very few) answers? Don't know if it wil help anyone, but I've seen two tips (which haven't worked from me). Find settings.xml in your profile folder; in the file, edit the line: so it looks like: and save it. Problem/corruption with driver installation. Remove and install clean. I tried the above, but no luck.hopefully Rockstar might have an answer somewhere:/ Good Luck guys.
Updated: Issue 1: GTA 5 Social Club Launcher Issues Some players are reporting issues with the GTA 5 launcher failing to initialize. Rockstar has recomended to players to uninstall the launcher and reinstall it. Just the launcher and not Grand Theft Auto 5 itself. Make sure that the following.exe files are not running in your task manager: GTA5.exe PlayGTAV.exe GTAVLauncher.exe Run the launcher as an administrator and you should be good to start playing GTA 5 soon!
Issue 2: “the Rockstar update service is unavailable (code 1)” GTA 5 went live about twenty minutes ago, but already an unexpected problem has emerged. Some users are seeing the message “the Rockstar update service is unavailable (code 1)” when trying to install the game, or else the launcher is crashing to desktop.
Rockstar Support has already released a workaround for the issue, which is caused by Windows usernames with unconventional characters. Basically, if the Windows username you’re using features any characters not included in this handy list, then you’ll need to sign in with another user account, or else create a new one. It’s only a temporary solution – Rockstar is working on a fix as we speak – but if you can’t wait to get started, it’s good enough. Simply changing your Windows username won’t work, Rockstar reports, and if you do choose to use a different account in the meantime, you’re advised to restart your PC before continuing. If you are in the game already, why not share your benchmarks and screenshots?
Update: Chris is reviewing GTA for us, and has had problems launching the game that are unrelated to the above Windows username error. Specifically, Steam displayed an ‘Installing’ window for a few seconds and then closed, after which the game wouldn’t load. Fortunately, he’s found a possible fix. Open GTA 5’s install directory, found by right-clicking the game in the Steam library, going to ‘Properties’, and clicking ‘Browse Local Files’ in the Local Files tab. From there, go into the ‘Installers’ folder and manually install the Rockstar Social Club through the installers found in that directory. Tenaga tidak boleh diperbaharui. From there, it should load normally—although we think some of the problems are due to a Rockstar Social Club connection issue. Issue 3: Failed Zlib Call Error This is an error that seems to be haunting some GTA 5 fans, and can be a devastating one.

This error happens after you’ve installed the game and successfully launched Grand Theft Auto 5. For some players this has popped up right away, though some Steam users have reported it happening after playing for a few minutes. The error suggests rebooting your PC or reinstalling the game all together. Rockstar’s support page for GTA 5 on PC states that rebooting the PC will likely not make a difference in correcting the error. Steam users can verify the game cache, but those who bought from Rockstar will be forced to redownload the full 60GB game. As of now there is no other fix for this issue.
If you’ve been lucky to play GTA 5 with no issues, enjoy it. For the rest of us, hopefully Rockstar fixes these issues quickly, otherwise GTA 5 can be chalked up to another failed game launch in a recent history all too full of them. Issue 4: Guide to Solve Windows Media Player Error during Installation Another issue affecting GTA 5 PC installation is the Windows Media Player error. Some players have been getting, “Unable to detect Windows Media Player on your System.
